What is the CashWise Assistant Chrome Extension and How can I set it up?

The CashWise Assistant is a Google Chrome Extension to aid you in certain operations inside of CashWise.

There are 2 categories of functions provided by the CashWise Assistant:

  1. Syfe Account access - to give you access directly to your Syfe account for verification purposes

  2. Deposit-Only (non-API) access - to facilitate data loading into CashWise


Syfe Account Access

Currently Syfe is a single user account, the CashWise Assistant will help you log into Syfe directly so you can perform the following functions:

  • View balances

  • View transaction histories

  • Download Statements


What is NOT SUPPORTED when accessing Syfe

  • Make changes to portfolios

  • Transfer funds out - you can do this within CashWise

  • Change email / password



Deposit-Only Bank Accounts

The CashWise Assistant will become active once you’ve logged into both CashWise and your supported bank (DBS & OCBC).  It will present a CashWise icon on your banking account page and provide you with details on actions that are recommended and/or ask your permission to pull data from the bank.


What CashWise Assistant CAN do for you when accessing Bank Accounts(Deposit-Only):

  • Update your balances and transaction histories into Cashwise

  • Recommends a transfer to Syfe when you balance exceeds the policy set by you


What Cashwise Assistant CANNOT do for you when accessing Bank Accounts(Deposit-Only):

  • Will NOT perform the withdrawal on your behalf

  • Will NOT automatically update your transaction history into CashWise
